On Friday Sept 20th, 10 guests will join SMITH for an immersive séance experience; A soirée of the most unique and phasmagorical.
Together we will embark upon a journey of clairvoyance, spirit communication and an exhilarating, contemporary return to a time where people were curious and what lay beyond the veil was provocative and perhaps a little dangerous.
Spirits! Ghosts! A keepsake pendulum and society pin. Complementary beverage of courage, and post Séance Tarot readings for each guest, along with a special performance of murder ballads & musical saw by our own Ms. Becky. Guests also enjoy exclusive access to the marvels of Gold Bug with host Theodora.

SMITH is an enigmatic magician member of the Academy of Magical Arts at the Magic Castle. He provides exclusive and discreet in-home Séance experiences for an A-list clientele. Society Of The Seance is his immersive evening of séance and paranormal entertainment for the adventurous; A truly unique combination of fear, wonder and enjoyment.

The Back Salon is the newly inaugurated "secret" social parlor located within Pasadena's beloved Gold Bug. Namesake of the famous Edgar Allen Poe story; their gallery / museum like retail shop offers its visitors a visual and sensual experience of rare and unusual wonder. Created by proprietor and curator extraordinaire Theodora; The Back Salon presents a rotating calendar of eclectic events and surprises.
